Samuel E. Brode He was the smallest of the Brode boys. He had dark eyes, prominent eyebrows, and medium dark hair. He was a school teacher and taught at Martinsburg and Newcastle. He enlisted in the Civil War, Mar. 5, 1865 at the call for 500,000 men for one year, and was discharged at the close of the war. |
