Anna Elizabeth Brode Anna was a brunette with black hair and reddish brown eyes. Her height was 5 ft. 8 in. and her average weight was about 165 lbs. She was right handed. She was of intermediate temperament. She was living in Harvey Co., Kan. at the time of her marriage and later lived in Newton, Ks. and Kansas City, Kan. Anna and Mr. Kelly visited the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893 and there met her four brothers and their wives. Before separating they had a photograph made of the group. Anna was interested in painting but had little opportunity to develop her talents. She was a member of the London Heights Methodist Episcopal Church in Kansas City, Kan. She was not well after the birth of her third child and died of heart trouble at the age of 37, soon after the death of the child. She married Sep. 19, 1889, William N. Kelly of Harvey Co., Kan. who was born Dec 26, 1861 near Seymour, Jackson Co., Ind. and died Nov. 27, 1931, Kansas City, Kan. He attended the Ft. Scott, Kan. Academy and taught school for several years and then for 23 years served as a railway postal clerk. After the death of his wife Anna he married June 22, 1903 Eva May Brown. |
